Norwegian

We have a foreign exchange student from NORWAY! :D
He's amazingly good at French, and I think almost all the girls are in love with his accent. Whenever he reads in English, its like.. "*Dreamy sigh* Wow..."

Track and field tryouts were today. I think. I'm not sure, I tuned out during announcements. I sorta kinda wanted to go, but I just didn't think it'd be worth it. I also don't know anyone in track and field.
I'm pretty lonely now. Now more than ever. I don't have a first block, I have second block with 2 friends, third block is filled with people I've seen before but never talked to, and fourth block has like 10 people in it, and I only know the Norwegian kid.
I'm frustrated because I can't change my classes. It really sucks, and on top of that, I don't get French at all. My memory has been jammed to its limit.

Holy crap I'm so thankful for this weekend.

"À La Folie, Pas Du Tout"

"He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" ("À La Folie, Pas Du Tout") is the BEST French movie I've ever seen!! Well, only French movie I've seen. It has the greatest twist, and its totally unexpected. I highly recommend it.

Anyway, I'm just about to get the hang of things. Whatever that means. I get math and French, but I'm still getting used to the amounts of homework given. Its not much, but I still haven't gotten used to it.

I'm a little mad because I figured out that I could've gotten all my classes with people I know really well this semester if I didn't screw up my schedule last semester. And I would've been in French II this semester with that really nice looking TA for that class. D:
Haha, to be perfectly honest, I kinda wish I took PE. We have a weight room and a bunch of machines. Yea I know, I'm completely insane.

I just turned in my ATDP Application, was it.. yesterday? Yeah. So it looks like I'm taking ATDP. Thank god. I'd absolutely dread Debate Camp. Actually, to be perfectly honest, the more days that go by, the more I hate Debate. And I'm not even signed for that class! There's another tournament this weekend, and I really just want to ditch it. I mean, if I'm not even gonna get graded on it, whats the point?
I'm not giving up, I'm quitting. If there's a difference. No wait, I'm sure there's a difference. Whatever the difference, I can't stand debating. I'll go nuts if I have to debate again.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Freaking out

Freaking out over Stanford, freaking over the fact that I'll be gone this whole weekend which means I don't get my red packets, freaking over the stupid tournament, freaking over the French test, freaking over the math test which I know I failed, freaking over the four page essay I have to write about a moral when I can barely only reach one page due Monday, and freaking over all those other tests.

AHHH. OK Tiffany, don't freak out. Stay calm. Think, just a couple more weeks and you'll have President's Week off! Just a few more weeks...

Wow, I like Febreze. Mmm, so fresh. OK, focus! Revise cases for tonight, and do french and math homework. All of which I didn't do last night. Crap.
^ Procrastination at its best.

Stanford

Stanford is beeaaa-U-tiful! Such a big campus; everyone bikes, AND looks intelligent at the same time. Such a hard thing to multi-task.
Baahhhh. I did horrible. Well, partially because I gave such little effort.
That was probably the longest weekend I've ever had. Right after school Friday, drove to Stanford. Two rounds. Went home at midnight. Woke up at 6 AM Saturday morning, four rounds, home at 11. Woke up Sunday morning 4 AM, another round, then home at 6 PM. Homework until one in the morning. Then woke up this morning early to do a paper.
I basically lived off of free boosts of calcium, energy, and caffeine from the Jamba Juice in Stanford. Yumm... :]

Thats one weekend that was crazy. Unfortunately, its not over yet. This upcoming weekend is an 8 round tournament at UCB. Bleehhh. The more and more I debate, the more my hate for it grows. I tell Sally I just won't go because it wouldn't be fair, but she forces me to :[

I totally forgot V-Day is in 3 days. Heh heh, Valentine's Day. Totally a Hallmark invented holiday.
Oddly enough, I'm excited for Valentine's Day. As opposed to the many frowning faces I see during V-Day. Its my goal to cheer 'em up! Make them smile. We don't need men to make us haapppyyy.
Most of the time at least. XP

Can't wait for President's Weeeeeek! The whole week off. Whoo! Also the one year anniversary of our DC trip. Wow, that was a year ago? Unbelievable.

Heeeeee. I fell asleep in class again. And I'm still caffeine high! Yaaahhh.

Heehee

Frank from the Gauntlet is SOOO CUTE! The only reason why I watch that show= FRANK!
Too bad he's taken by that Jillian girl. Evill >:[
Also that one guy in the upcoming movie about some kid who counsels people; he's cute too! I'd squeal if I could... but I don't squeal.
Heh heh, also Draco Malfoy. Phew. Absolutely cute! With that adorable little smirk and sneer. He is my kind of evil! :)

The weather has all of a sudden turned into an almost summer like pattern albeit, it's quite foggy outside. Its driving me crazy because I can't decide if I should bring a jacket knowing I might have to carry it with me all day, or not bring one because there's no point but then freeze my butt off. But thats the least of my worries.

I'm already having to decide what my classes will be for next year. I mean, its next year! I don't want to have to worry about it until like, 3 more months. Bleh, stupid AP classes.
Right now the only thing thats for certain about my future is that I'll have extremely long tangly hair. I plan on donating it to Locks Of Love. Psh, what a nice picture of the future.

Singles Awareness Day

NO! no no no no!
I'm watching the Gauntlet right now, and whether it be a rerun or a new episode, I'm yelling at the TV, "NO! FRANK!" because Frank is being stupid and yelling at his team for Jillian. He doesn't want her to go into the Gauntlet a third time in a row. GRR! This is bittersweet, because its showing that he's such a caring guy, and that he's sticking up for her. But it sucks because this is making everyone hate him. All for a girl?! *Grumble*
Frank looks so cute pissed :[
Grr.. Despite the fact that Jillian just won the Gauntlet, and she's not going home.. makes me a little happy. At least Frank will stay happy with her around. Blech.
EW *gag* Just saw Frank and Jillian making out.. in the shower together. :[ *crushed*

*Sigh* today's V-Day. Or, basically was. Today was sad. Oh I know, the hypocrisy! I thought I would be excited for what's today.. but when they started handing out the "candy grams" I started feeling.. almost, sorry for myself? Can't find the right word(s). I thought it was pitiful how people would sulk today. Hah, I guess I find myself pitiful. Boo.
I don't like Valentine's day.

Bahaha. Frank's going into the Gauntlet now. Hm, Frank looks sorta like David. Heeee :]
Lol, he wears glasses. And Frank won.
I think I'll continue watching The Gauntlet and Project Runway now. Man, TV and ice cream really does help.

Bored

President's Week is passing by way too fast. Well at least I think so. Then again, I've been spending countless hours infront of the TV. Hours that should be going into homework, but it never does. :]

We actually went to Berkeley High last weekend. Varsity at UCB, JV at BHS. Made a lot of new friends, gained a lot of new information, and a maybe useful experience. Its hard to tell.

Recently picked up Atonement by Ian McEwan. Hopefully I get to see the movie soon.

Boy crazy

Ahhh, Devon Sawa is adorable! First laid eyes on him in Casper.. which was filmed in 1995. So, by now he's twice my age. Drats!
He stars in a lot of horror flicks. So that sucks. But he was pretty dreamy in Little Giants. He even did this little smirk in Casper. Granted, he was only in Casper for like, 5 minutes of the ending. But man..
He's 29 or 30 now. Poo.

My seemingly weird boy craze is totally normal. So to speak. I do feel like it gets the best of me sometimes. I notice that blogging a lot about cute guys will make me seem shallow, but I don't have anything else better to do. And I'm not shallow. In some ways, I hate becoming another one of those fangirls who goes googly eyed for some very cute celebrity.

Anyway, I can see why Atonement is rated R now. The book tells it all.

Tomato face

I'm starting to feel really tempted to quit French. I know its required, but I don't like this whole idea of a 4th block. Its like since I'm already trying to repair friendships with others, this just ruins it all. I don't know if I can hang on for another 4 months.
Other then that, French in itself is so embarrassing. Whenever the teacher calls on me to speak French out loud from the textbook, I can just feel all the blood rushing to my face. It starts to feel really hot in the room, and I can clearly tell my face is turning red. "Blushing" almost, but from embarrassment. Its hard speaking a foreign language out loud knowing people you barely know are listening to you. Probably snickering as well. My face never turns red/pink!

Well, I'm a bit ticked off by this new law they passed. I don't know much about it, but its about how kids born after 1992 have to wait until they're 18 to be able to drive others. At least, this is what I hear. I'm smart enough to know not to listen to rumors or what other people are saying, but its really hard not to take this in. I mean, this totally ruins carpooling! We're gonna be using more gas, thus polluting! Noooo. I should write a strongly worded letter to whoever passed and/or made such a law! Although I doubt it'd do any good. It just makes it that much more horrible knowing that I barely made the required year.

Looks like the 8th graders came back from their DC trip. A lot of them complaining how it wasn't fun. Psh! What a waste of a trip. Sheesh. Well, at least they didn't get that haunted story trip around Williamsburg. Or was it Jamestown? Anyway, the Washington Monument blew me away. Literally. Man, that was fun. It was like flying. We almost saw the President too. :D
Err, well.. his helicopter.
