While I am elated over Barack Obama’s presidential win, I feel like I should put aside that happiness for now and focus on Prop 8. Because Prop 8 is fucking ridiculous and it shouldn’t be at the point where it currently is.

There is someone very close to me in my life who is homosexual and has had an ongoing stable relationship for quite some time now. Although I can’t go into detail for privacy reasons, there are deeds these two have done which are just unbelievable. Let it suffice to say that even when things don’t go their way, they pull through for others in the most remarkable manner at their own expense. I can’t look at them and have some fucking bigot or homophobe tell me that they shouldn’t have the same benefits as heterosexual couples.

It makes me so angry…
