About that list...

Yes. I have a Things-to-do-Before-College list. I called it something else on my Tumblr though. Specifically, in this entry. Of course, I haven’t really written any of this down, so I’ve decided to keep it on here!

#1 · Attend a taping of The Colbert Report: Okay, Daily Show will suffice as well, but The Colbert Report is more enjoyable, imo. Tickets are a bitch to get, even though they’re free. (I shall be watching this carefully.) And you have to be 18 to get in, which is why I couldn’t go to one last summer. I’m sad that the set was redone over Christmas because I always wanted to see the tape outline on the floor and the portrait over the fake fire (I think the portrait is still there actually). The new set is so bright and shiny, it’s almost blinding…

If I can see a Colbert taping, then I can definitely achieve #2 on my list…coming soon :O

I WANT TO KNOW. HARUMPH.

Okay, fine. Take a few more months. But it would at least be nice to know before we register for AP exams. :(

On a side note, I hate interviews. Three down, I hope there aren’t any more to go. But I love my kitties. Keeeeeeeety.

Never mind...

In 1986 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. I quickly decided I didn’t want to work in engineering after all so had my own business for many years, designed knitting patterns, and managed a counted cross stitch company, too.

That’s from the bio of an admissions officer at a super fantastic school. I’m definitely not getting in, but…seriously? After all of that work…knitting patterns?! I quit.

College applications. BOOM!

So I finished my last application on Wednesday!!!!

Life has been pretty good since. Lots of Mythbusters. And Pokemon. And Stephen Colbert. I’ll finally be able to see some friends during break! Everyone has been rather hermit-like with applications and what not.

Oh, right. I have Bio homework. And a Bio project. And I think I’m supposed to be reading Frankenstein (classwide attempt to not check out the book failed). Whoops.

CM HAS BEEN OVER: DELAYED REACTION

HOORAAAAAAAY!

Oh, today was wonderful. Well, no. Yes! All of the above!

Played flute at my French teacher’s church this morning. Was 5 minutes late, but got paid. The service was uncomfortable, but whatever. $30. It’s not like I’ll have to do that again.

Briefly considered going to another service where my friends were playing in a brass quartet. Figured that was too much church for one day. Or one year. Or forever.

Volunteered for Key Club at the Easter Egg Hunt downtown. Throwing candy on the grass was fun. I felt like Millet’s The Sower (APAH!). Note: Don’t throw the plastic eggs. Though it only took me one to figure that out.

Dropped by the new secretary’s house to give him the hours. Since I was conveniently located across the street from one of my best friends’s house, mischief ensued.

Today (yesterday) I got a lot of work done though! APAH ism cards, APUSH, piano…

And I saw someone genuinely attractive. Who wasn’t Yundi Li.

Man.

So I felt it was necessary to retake the SATs. They’re on the same day as Certificate. Joy.

At this point, it doesn’t look like I’ll be back at ATDP. I’m still turning in an application just in case, but DVC seems more likely. They have Calc III, which I’ve wanted to take for a while. Ideally, I would take AP Stat at ATDP and Calc at DVC, but the schedule is unclear on the site and I don’t think timing would work out at all. There’s a online stat class at DVC too, but my dad is worried that it won’t be as good as ATDP’s course. Ugh, I don’t know…

Today I got a camera! Apparently I have to take pictures for Key Club at most events now, so I just needed a small, not-so-fancy one. We ended up getting a Canon Powershot SD1100.

My local Circuit City is dead.
