I recently ran out of slots on my power strip. Computer, laptop, printer, DS, cellphone, clock, desk lamp, and monitor. Then I realized that half these things don't need to be plugged in all the time. So I just yanked a bunch of cords out.
This is especially relevant since the laptop and printer do not seem to get along, I think its the laptop because the desktop and printer get along fine. But when I tried to print my paper yesterday the printer just spat out blank white sheets of paper until I switched computers. The ethernet cord also doesn't reach all the way to the top bunk, since it already spans about half the room before it even gets to my desk. So the only use of this laptop is to write papers white sitting on my bed. Which I tried this morning. Really not a good idea, I ended up dozing off.
Not sure how to tell my mom that I really don't need a laptop, and my desktop has a bigger screen anyways, so I kind of sort of prefer that.
Paper due yesterday and another one due earlier today so I haven't really gotten much sleep. Yet this is all I can think about. Which things should stay plugged into the power strip, and what should I do with the leftover cords? Should I still use the laptop because the desktop ends up overheating faster? I need to catch up on homework, but I'm also super sleepy. Time to procrastinate until bed time.
