Mmm got my Comp Sci test back today. The test was only 4 problems, which means I got a C if I failed only one... which I did. My teacher gave this talk where he said that as long as you learn in the class he would be happy. Grades don't really matter, and then he bashed on why the 90-80-70-60-0 system is used in US. So the point he was basically trying to make was that you're suppose to come to class wanting to learn, not wanting to get a good grade. He also talked about how UC Berkeley is not for everyone and prestige doesn't really mean anything xD Also talked about how UCSD is really great for other things, basically just saying that college isn't about getting into Ivy Leagues and stuff like that.
Talked to my counselor about getting credit for ATDP. She gave me a 5 minute lecture about how colleges only look at your transcript to see what you've done at your high school, not at a bunch of other places. Also saying that summer school is only for people who have D's and F's during school and you shouldn't take any class that is already offered there. Then going on about how college's look at people who try to jump ahead suspiciously, and that Gunn already offers enough rigor for the students to have an excellent education. All this happens while I nod and say thank you a couple of times even though I'm cursing in my head and criticizing everything they say. Blech, whatever.
Mmmm got my ATDP grades & SAT 9 scores today. I got a frickin' B in Japanese 1. Even though I got an F in the homework section, it's no excuse to get a B =/ A+ in Java though :O even though I already knew that haha. SAT 9's are pretty terrible. 6 away from Advanced for Geometry... blech. 100% in Science though. It's amazing, I didn't even know I could get everything. Ugh.. makes me wonder if I really should go into computer science... I can still change my mind now.
